Mail-Alert: Is there mail in your mailbox? Know before you go!

Do you know what that object on top of her mailbox is? It's called a 'Mail-Alert'. Just by looking out her front door or window, this young lady can see if she has mail.

You know what a pain it is when your mailbox is such a long distance away at the end of your driveway? Mail-Alert will let you know when the mail arrives at your mailbox.  If the alert flag is up, your mailbox has been opened and you probably have mail.

Easy to install and brightly colored, the Mail-Alert is a red steel flag that lays along the top of the mailbox until the postman opens the mailbox door. As the mailbox door opens, the flag springs into the upright position as shown in the picture above and remains up until you retrieve your mail and reset the flag; which is done simply by pressing the flag back down and closing the lip of the mailbox door over it.

When the weather's poor, making that trek out to the mailbox can be an undesirable chore. And since delivery schedules can be unpredictable, all too often you may find yourself making that trip several times a day. But with Mail-Alert, you'll always know when the mail has been delivered.
