Something’s out thereUnknown predator snatching pets from local yards
By: Brandy S. Chewning - Texarkana Gazette
Two dogs are dead and two more are missing as something around Dogwood Lake Estates targets pets as prey. Recent attacks in the subdivision off Summerhill Road in north Texarkana, Texas, are being blamed on a wild animal, perhaps a coyote or bobcat. Joys Pearson’s schnauzer, Spooky, was killed about 1:30 a.m. Thursday in Pearson’s backyard on Dogwood Lake Drive. She never heard a bark prior to the attack but heard a noise she could only describe as ungodly. She went outside with a flashlight and saw two eyes reflected, but there was no sign of her dog.
