DAYTON, Ohio—Carol Mae Ludvigsen Shearer, 83, of Clintonville, Wis., died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.

Mrs. Shearer was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Clintonville. She was a former co-pastor of First Pentecostal Church in Texarkana, Texas, and Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Dayton; co-founder of The Lighthouse Christian School, Dayton; and president of the Ladies Auxiliary Ohio District UPC. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Huss Shearer.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Janet Shearer of Dallas and Chris and Judy Shearer of Saraland, Ala.; one daughter and son-in-law, Joy Shearer and Steve Veris of Oakwood, Ohio; one sister, Marion Palmer of Albuquerque; two brothers, Roy Ludvigsen of New Bern, N.C., and Robert Ludvigsen of North Fond du Lac, Wis.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Riverside, Ohio. Private burial will be in Woodland Cemetery at a later date under direction of Westbrock Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
