Glyndell Dewan “Glen” Privitt, 71, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at his home.

Mr. Privitt was born Sept. 14, 1940, in Byars, Okla. He was retired from Maher’s Empire Electric and a member of I.B.E.W. Local No. 301 and Buchanan First Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Sissy Smith Privitt of Texarkana; two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda Kay Privitt of Texarkana and Anita and Britt Milroy of Hot Springs, Ark.; one son and daughter-in-law, Lee Davis Norris and Marsha Norris of Texarkana; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melva and David Linzy of Hope, Ark., and Sherron and Lloyd Hill of Kilgore, Texas; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Don Brazile and James Brinkley officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family will be at 6510 Jones Lane, Texarkana, TX 75503.
