DeKALB, Texas—Millie Sue Sands, 74, of DeKalb died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Sands was born Sept. 19, 1937, in DeKalb. She was a management analyst at Red River Army Depot. 

Survivors include her husband, Bennie Sands of DeKalb; one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Marietta Raney of DeKalb; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Linda and Mark Simpson of Hugo, Okla.; three grandchildren; three special friends, Anita Raney and Mike and Regina Welch of New Boston; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
