Ellis Edward  Massey, 85, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 4,  2012, in a local hospital.

Mr. Massey was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Doddridge, Ark. He was retired from Day & Zimmermann and member of Highland Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Aline Massey; and one great-grandson, Lane Alan Massey.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dillon Edward and Lajuana Massey, Roger Denton and Billie Faye Massey and David Lynn and Debbie Massey of Texarkana; two sisters, Mae Gonzalez of Rowlette, Texas, and Willie Stroup of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in East Memorial Gardens with Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
