HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Evelyn Hampton Jacobs, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. 

Mrs. Jacobs was a cafeteria employee for Hughes Springs Independent School District. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Jacobs.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Demeris Jacobs of Avinger, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Ron Coker of Hughes Springs; two sisters, Jean Davis and LaVerna Vaughn; three brothers, George Weldon Hampton, Alvis Hampton and Auvis Hampton; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cornett Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
