NASHVILLE, Ark.—James Franklin Johnson, 96, of Lockesburg, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in Fouke, Ark.
Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 21, 1915, in White Cliffs community. He was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, member of Brownstown Community Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leola Francis Ray Johnson.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Sonny Nutt of Fouke and Marcille and Bobby Dallas of Nashville, Ark.; three sons and daughters-in-law, James “Spud” and Fran Johnson of Ashdown, Ark., Kelsey and Diane Johnson of Del Rio, Texas, and Frankie and Sharon Johnson of Horatio, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Brownstown Community Church with Sonny Nutt officiating. Burial will be in Wright’s Chapel Cemetery under direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
