Jack Bruner, 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in a local hospital.

Mr. Bruner was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Heber Springs, Ark. He was retired from Offenhauser Insurance Co., a member of Kiwanis Club and First United Methodist Church, Texas, and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corynne Bruner.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jane Bruner of Texarkana; one brother, Richard Bruner of Georgetown, Texas; two sisters, Mary Catherine Robertson of Dallas and Naomi Black of Houston; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Collins and Monica Bruner and Reid Burner; one special niece, Rynne Belk; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles A. Bruner and Dr. Bruce Hargrave officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
