DeKALB, Texas—Parker Edwin Turner, 85, of DeKalb died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at his home.

Mr. Turner was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Vincent, Okla. He was retired from the United States Navy and the Civil Service, a member of DeKalb Church of Christ and a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah “Jane” Turner on April 20, 2009.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Marie Beaucannon of Salt Lake City, and Diania Faye Turner of Kamas, Utah; six grandchildren, Tamera Molina, Danielle Turner, Michelle Case, Justin Beaucannon, Stacey Jensen and Adrian Beaucannon; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at DeKalb Church of Christ with Buddy Ray and Willard Holliday officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Woodmen Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
