Claud Henry Varner Sr., 99, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Varner was born June 17, 1913, in Benton, Ark. He was a retired farmer and member of Lewisville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Redd Varner.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, C.H. and Jo Ann Varner of Texarkana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
