Cynthia J. Evans, 65, of Texarkana died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in a local hospital.

Ms. Evans was born April 3, 1947, in Morrilton, Ark. She was retired from Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, an employee of Wadley Regional Medical Center and member of Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council, Women of the Arts, Red Hat Society and Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the hand bell choir and Fellowship Sunday School Class and played piano for Bible Study Fellowship. 

Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Camille and Mark Williams of Texarkana and Ellise Hunter of Bossier City, La.; one brother, Ronald D. Evans of Texarkana; six nieces and nephews, Jennifer Joseph of Beaver Falls, Pa., Courtney Bruns of Bossier City, Ian Evans Finch of Pittsburg, Pa., Evan Eatman of Fort Hood, Texas, Nick Eatman of Dallas and Ryan Hunter of Shreveport, La.; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Wayman officiating. Arrangements will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
