DeKALB, Texas—Stiles Dennison Humphrey Sr., 75, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Humphrey was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Clarksville, Texas. He was a retired auto mechanic, a Christian and a Marine Corps veteran. 

Survivors include one son, Stiles D. Humphrey Jr. of Brownwood, Texas; one stepdaughter, Emily Pharris of Dallas; two brothers, Dean Humphrey of Denison, Texas, and Jerry Humphrey of DeKalb; one sister, Gloria M. Ramsey of Little Rock; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, near DeKalb, under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
