Social amusements abound with splash pad, future water park

Texarkana, Texas, made a splash in 2012 when it opened the city’s first splash pad on Oct. 12. ¶ Meanwhile, Texarkana, Ark., wanted to make the city a tourist destination when it decided to begin constructing a water park in Crossroads Business Park along Interstate 30.
