CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Maggie Baird Northcutt, 96, of Avery, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in a DeKalb, Texas, nursing home.

Mrs. Northcutt was born Dec. 19, 1916, in Avery. She was a member of Avery Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Northcutt, in 1979; and one son, Bobby Northcutt.

Survivors include three sons, Enos Northcutt and E.G. Northcutt of Avery and Jim Northcutt of Bogata, Texas; four daughters, Lela Mae Wells and Nell Bishop of Clarksville, Robbie Rhea of Annona, Texas, and Louise Simmons of Avery; four sisters, Ruby Kimble of DeKalb, Texas, Alver Sumake of Avery, Mary Combs of Mineola, Texas, and Frances Murphy of Louisiana; one brother, L.J. Baird of Henderson, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Revs. Wilson Weed and Dwight Drake officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
