DE QUEEN, Ark.—Lawrence Earl “Larry” Mecham, 77, of Horatio, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital.

Mr. Mecham was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Peoria, Ill. He was a security guard with Wal Mart and Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

Survivors include one son, Calvin Earl Mecham of Lipan, Texas; two daughters, Sharilyn Chaney of Horatio and Lauren Krile of Peoria; three stepsons, Frank Speener, Dave Speener and Jim Speener of Peoria; one stepsister, Sue Sarver of Peoria; and two grandchildren, Sarah Cole and Thomas Mecham.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
