Arkansas roads open, ice patches reported
Highways in Southwest Arkansas have ice patches but remain open, according to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
The majority of the highways have ice patches, but about 90 percent of the roads remain open. The ice patches have occurred because of sleet and freezing rain.
The road conditions include:
--Texas state line on Interstate 30 into Arkansas has patches of sleet and freezing rain.
--Texarkana to Fouke ice patches on Highway 549
--Texarkana to Doddridge ice patches on Highway 549
--Fouke to Doddridge ice patches
--Nashville to Hope on Highway 278 ice patches
--Hope to Lewisville Highway 29 ice patches
--Lewisville to Louisana state line ice patches
--Lockesburg to Nashville on Highway 371 ice patches
--De Queen to Highway 234 ice patches
--De Queen to Little River County ice patches
--Little River County U.S. Highway 71 to Texarkana ice patches
--Interstate 30 from Hope westbound to Texarkana ice patches
