Because of inclement weather, the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department is asking for all motorists to please slow down, increase distances between vehicles, and stay off of overpasses if at all possible.  The best advice would be to stay off the roadways, unless it is absolutely necessary to travel.  If you are involved in an accident, please stay in your vehicle and call for emergency assistance.  

Several wrecks have been reported as sleet and snow move into the area.
