Cathy Yvonne Green Vanhook, 56, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Vanhook was born July 1, 1956, in De Queen, Ark. She was a medical assistant; a volunteer with Obama Administration and missions; and a member of Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star and F.T. Jeans CME Church, Tollette, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Vanhook Sr.

Survivors include one son, Steven Conley of Texarkana; two daughters, Stephanie Conley and Ebony Conley of Texarkana; four stepchildren, Angela Conley, Cherise Conley and Paul Maurice Conley of Long Beach, Calif., and Harold Vanhook Jr. of Tacoma, Wash.; six siblings, Chester Green, Merdes Green and Ronnie Green Sr. of Tollette, Randy Green and Debra Hendrix of Texarkana and Gerald Green of Lakewood, Calif.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at F.T. Jeans CME Church with the Rev. Lonnie Waller officiating. Burial will be in Crofton Cemetery, Tollette under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
