ASHDOWN, Ark.—Willie Hooks Jr., 62, of Shawnee, Okla., died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Mr. Hooks was born Dec. 8, 1950, in Foreman, Ark. He was an employee of Red River Army Depot, a Baptist and Marine Corps veteran. 

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Hooks; three children, Christopher Hooks of Shawnee and Shawntáe Hooks-Ward and Catina Hooks-Rigsby of Cedar Hill, Texas; three brothers, Otis Lee Hooks of Fort Worth, Texas, Odell Hooks of Columbus, Ohio, and Ray Charles Hooks of Austin; five sisters, Georgia Hooks-Gregory and Bertha Hooks-Gregory of California, Pirley Hooks-Crossland and Helen Hooks-Rowden of Hooks, Texas, and Lillie Hooks-Johnson of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church, Foreman, Ark., with the Rev. Clemia Huey officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery under direction of Hamburg Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
