ATLANTA, Texas—Linda Burrit Payne, 61, of Queen City, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Payne was born April 4, 1951, in Clarinda, Iowa. She was employed with Walmart and attended Eylau Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Payne.

Survivors include one stepson, Michael Payne of Manama, Bahrain; four stepdaughters, Christine Payne and Marsha Payne of New Haven, Vt., Patricia Rainwater of Marshall, Texas, and Cynthia Napier of Waldron, Ark.; one brother, Randall Burritt of Queen City; two sisters, Marsha Forde of Childress, Texas, and D’Ann Freeman of Queen City; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives including one special nephew, Jeremy Freeman of Queen City.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Enon Cemetery with James Hughes officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hanner Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
