LUCILLE LINK
Lucille Linzy Link, 87, of Wake Village, Texas, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Link was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Nathan, Ark. She was one of the first female insurance agents in the Texarkana area; a volunteer for American Cancer Society, March of Dimes and Christus St. Michael Health System; member of Guys and Dolls Square Dance Club; and patron of Oaklawn Opry. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Duane Link; and one granddaughter, Karen Louise Smith.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patsy Link of Wake Village, Sharon and Randy Smith of Rowlett, Texas, and Margie and Rick Thompson of Lucas, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and JoAnne Link of Texarkana; an honorary daughter, Deborah Beasley of Wake Village; six grandchildren; six great-grandchidren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Norris Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
