The Texarkana, Ark., City Board of Directors has cancelled a 3 p.m. meeting today to consider court costs and fines for Texarkana’s division of Miller County District Court.

The action will be considered at Monday's regular meeting as a result of Senate Bill 307.

The city is seeking to have a procedure in place stating all installment payments should initially be applied for restitution first and then court costs and fines.

Some language taken out of the bill on Thursday meant there was no longer an immediate need for a city board meeting to act on the measure.
