NEW BOSTON, Texas—Wanda “Gayle” Castro, 70, of New Boston died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Castro was born Oct. 4, 1942, in Bristow, Okla. She was a Presbyterian. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorene Cobb.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Castro; one daughter and son-in-law, Donnetta and Jimmy Ceal of DeKalb, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Gail Owens of Emmet, Ark.; one brother, Richard Watt of Bristow; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ava and Leonard Hill of Panama, Okla., and Karen Sailing of New Boston; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
