American Legion Post No. 488 reflects on history, methods of aid

• American Legion Doyle Williams Post. No. 488 in New Boston, Texas, will be hosting a 1st District meeting on March 16, and Post Commander Mike Jolly is one of several officers getting the physical building cleaned up and ready to go for the one-day event.
NEW BOSTON, Texas—The first American Legion Post in New Boston, Texas, was formed in 1946 on state Highway 8 West, just inside the New Boston city limits, says its current commander, Mike Jolly.
Its next location was in the current City Hall building in downtown New Boston.
