De Queen opens new 43-acre disc golf course

A 43-acre disc golf course recently was installed at Herman Dierks Park in De Queen, Ark. Supervisors of the project include volunteers E.C. Shelton, left, and David Higgins and Chris Hale, who oversees youth programs for the city.

De Queen, Ark., has a new sport and entertainment with the opening of a disc golf course at Herman Dierks Park.

The 43-acre course cost about $8,000 and was funded by donations from sponsors.
