MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Donald Wayne Curtis, 62, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Mr. Curtis was born March 31, 1951, in Mount Pleasant. He was an employee of Luminant Energy and member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, where he served as deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Brown Curtis of Mount Pleasant; one daughter, Chasity Curtis of Mount Pleasant; two sons, Chaz Curtis and DeWayne Brown of Mount Pleasant; seven brothers, Ronnie Brooks, Michael Thomas, Johnny Brooks, Frankie Thomas, Jimmy Curtis and Winford Dean Turner of Mount Pleasant and Kenneth Curtis of Dallas; six sisters, Gynell Farmer and Kaye Nelms of Mount Pleasant, Ann Bell of Mesquite, Texas, Betty Jean Rosa of West Palm Beach, Betty Jo Curtis of San Bernardino, Calif., and Linda Brown of Talco, Texas; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. L.K. McGill officiating. Burial will be in Piney Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary.

The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with visitation 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
