Bi-State corrections officer arrested for allegedly furnishing contraband
A Bi-State Justice Building corrections office has been arresed for allegedly introducing contraband in the jail, an official said.
Kyle Johnson, 22, was arrested by Texarkana, Ark., Police Department early Wednesday, said Officer Krsti Mitchell, department spokeswoman.
The information developed led undercover investigators to believe the planned contraband introduction into Bi-State consisted of marijuana and tobacco, Mitchell said.
Johnson was arrested on charges of furnishing, possessing, or using prohibited articles in a correctional facility, a felony crime.
