Two Denton residents arrested on forgery charges
A man and woman from Denton, Texas, have been arrested for allegedly attempting to pass counterfeit $100 bills in the area, an official said.
Bowie County sheriff's deputies responded Tuesday to a a call about the couple allegedly attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on U.S. Highway 59 South.
Shelley Samansky, 49, and Kenneth Samansky, 54, were arrested on forgery charges. Deputies recovered approximately 27 counterfeit $100 bills during the investigation, which is ongoing.
