New Boston police, FBI clear area in search for remains
NEW BOSTON, Texas—Law enforcement with New Boston Police Department and the FBI are preparing to block off a street and moving people back from the area as they search for the remains of La Dana Renee Newton Wiley.
Wiley, then 27, has been missing since New Year's Day 2000. She was dropped off at her home by her mother on Jan. 1, 2000. Her mother noticed that her daughter appeared nervous and jittery, according to the National Missing Person Directory Website.
Wiley's mother phoned her an hour later and Wiley did not answer, according to the Website.
At the time of her disappearance, Wiley was described as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 155 pounds with a scar on her abdomen.
