An arrest has been made in a burglary occurring about noon today, a Texarkana, Texas, Police Department official said.

Texarkana, Texas Police were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the first block of Sidney Drive about that time, said Sgt. Aaron Brower, TTPD spokesman.

Officers were dispatched to the residence because someone wearing a mask was climbing through a window into a house on that street.

The resident reportedly observed Kwesie Wilson, 36, of Texarkana, Texas, enter her window, Brower said.

The resident advised that Wilson was wearing a mask, and when he observed her, he went back out of the window.

A witness advised he saw a black male wearing a mask come from behind the residence. The witness also advised that he observed the suspect, Wilson, take off the mask and run into a nearby residence.

Officers located the suspect in a bedroom of that residence on a burglary of a habitation charge and transported to the Bi-State Justice Building, Brower said.
