Two arrested on burglary, fleeing and theft charges
Two arrests have been made in a burglary Wednesday afternoon on Dogwood Street in Texarkana, Ark., officials said.
John Nutte, 25, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested Wednesday on charges of residential burglary, fleeing, theft of property more than $1,000 and theft of a firearm, said Officer Kristi Mitchell, Texarkana, Ark., Police Department spokesman.
About 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 3300 block of Dogwood Street in reference to a 911 call of a residential burglary in progress.
A neighbor called reporting to police that two males forcefully entered into the residence, which was unoccupied by the home owners, Mitchell said.
Detectives Shane Kirkland and Tye Whatley were in the area when the call was dispatched. They located two suspects running from the area, toward The Willows Apartments. After a short time, the detectives located Nutte and the juvenile, along with the stolen property, inside an apartment that was condemned and now vacant
