Texarkana, Texas, police are investigating an early morning robbery in the 3800 block of Magnolia Street.

The robbery occurred about 3 a.m. Friday, said Sgt. Aaron Brower, TTPD spokesman.

Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim, Ralph Taylor, 58, of Texarkana, Texas.

Taylor’s car had broken down in the 3800 block of Magnolia Street, Brower said.

The suspects pulled up in another car and told him they would push his car out of the street for $5. The victim agreed to this.

The suspects pushed the victim’s car in to a parking lot and when the victim went to pay them $5, they grabbed him and took all his money and fled the scene, Brower said. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
