Man treated and released after gas line explodes
A man was treated and released at a local hospital after a gas line explosion Thursday evening, an official said.
Texarkana,Texas, Fire Department responded to a fire call approximately 6:27 p.m. Thursday at Summerhill and Parker roads, said Lisa Thompson, a spokeswoman for the city.
A sub-contractor who was working on the line was sent to a local hospital with burns to his arm and has been released, she said.
TTFD crews had the fire under control quickly and CenterPoint Energy was on scene at the time of this release working to turn off the gas valve, Thompson said.
