TAPD arrests man on felony domestic battery charge
A man was arrested on a felony domestic battery charge for allegedly stabbing another man, an official said.
Keith Torrence, was arrested on a second-degree domestic battery charge, which is a felony, said Officer Kristi Mitchell, Texarkana, Ark., Police Department spokeswoman.
About 11 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 500 block of Cleveland Street in reference to a report of a stabbing, she said.
When officers arrived, they located the victim, Jacob Lynn, 23, with several deep lacerations on his chest area.
Officers on scene determined that an altercation occurred at the residence between Lynn and the suspect, Torrence, ex-boyfriend of Lynn’s mother.
During the altercation, Torrence allegedly attacked Lynn with a knife causing Lynn’s injuries, Mitchell said.
Lynn was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center where he received medical attention.
Torrence was later arrested on the charge.
