Texarkana, Texas, police arrested three suspects on burglary of a building charges Friday morning, an official said.

Police were dispatched to a burglary call about 10:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of W. 12th Street, said Sgt. Aaron Brower, TTPD spokesman.

Witnesses in the area advised that three young black males were seen breaking in to an unoccupied residence, Brower said.

The suspects were seen allegedly loading up property into a two-tone Chevrolet pickup.

The witnesses observed the suspects leave in the truck and drive down a couple blocks and pull in to a yard in the 1000 block of Plum Street.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the three suspects.

Two of the suspects fled on foot but were both captured after a brief foot pursuit.

Officers recovered the stolen property and identified the three suspects as Demarquis Blackwell, 20, of Texarkana, Texas; Dezmon Harris, 23, of Texarkana, Texas; and Quantavias Williams, 20, of Texarkana, Ark.

Williams and Blackwell were also arrested on charges of evading arrest on foot.

Officers also determined that the truck used in the burglary was listed as stolen out of Cass County. Williams also had a felony warrant out of Cass County, Brower said. Harris also had some unrelated misdemeanor warrants, Brower said.
