Panel approves Dallas officials analyzing reservoir's effects on area resources
AUSTIN—Texas Water Development Board officials voted 2-1 to have Region C conduct a quantitative analysis of the potential impact of the Marvin Nichols Reservoir on Region D’s natural and agricultural resources by Nov. 3.
Region C is the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, and Region D is Northeast Texas.
At issue is the inclusion of the reservoir as a water strategy for Region C and its exclusion from Region D’s plan.
The proposed reservoir would be built in Northeast Texas to supply water to DFW.
