TEXARKANA, Texas -- Pleasant Grove's boys placed first and girls second on Monday in the Rick Rogers Memorial PG Classic golf tournament at Northridge Country Club.
Junior Power and Morgan Formes helped push the Hawks, finishing first individually in the boys' and girls' standings, respectively. Power shot a 73 and Formes a 96 -- one shot ahead of the second-place finishers.
Pleasant Grove boys recorded a team total of 320, 15 shots ahead of Pittsburg. Redwater (382) came in third, followed by Texas High's 'B' team (398), Paris (398), and Hughes Springs (466).
In the girls' division, Texas High claimed the top spot with a score of 437. Pleasant Grove shot 452, and Redwater came in third with 505.
