TEXARKANA, Ark. -- With its inaugural season in the books, Arkansas High's wrestling program was a success, with five of its girls being named to Class 5A all-state and all-state conference teams.
Montashia Floyd, who wrestled in the 115-pound weight class for the Lady Backs, brought in Texarkana's first-ever all-state recognition, along with Searcy's Alena Williams, Sylvan Hill's Zoey Weeks and Lake Hamilton's Adeline Jackson.
Arkansas High's Raziya Giddings, Abbie Bresley, Kyaira Lloyd and Zakeria Shoto earned all-conference honors.
For area Southwest Arkansas schools, Ashdown's Taytum Mitchell was named to the Class 4A all-state boys team.
