The annual rite of spring known as the Home and Garden Show will bloom March 23 at Crossties in downtown Texarkana.

Admission is free and the attendees can construct their path at the expo from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"It has been great to see the continued growth and the excitement around the show each year," event organizer Adam Pettit said. "Exhibitor participation and support from the community has played a key role."

Taking place for more than 30 years and featuring more than 40 exhibitors, this year's iteration will showcase a wide array of engaging activities for the whole family, according to Pettit.

"We will have many segments of the industry represented from builders and remodelers, material suppliers, pest control and mortgage companies to name a few," Pettit said. "Half of the exhibitor workshops are centered around landscaping and lawn and garden."

Davis Lumber and Hardware, Freeman Landscape and AEP SWEPCO are just a few of the exhibitors who will be on hand this year to engage attendees with demonstrations. Presentations on preparing your credit for a home purchase, electric incentive programs and creating a three-dimensional outdoor space are just some of the topics that will be featured during the workshops.
