TEXARKANA, Texas -- Pleasant Grove hosted 11 teams at its Spring JV Tennis Invitationals and won three of the five events on Tuesday.
Sophie Douglas brought home a Hawks victory in girls singles, and teammate Jonah Brown won the boys singles. Pleasant Grove also took the Boys Doubles event, with Thompson and Flores leading the way.
"We had beautiful weather for tennis and hosted our largest spring JV tournament to date," Pleasant Grove tennis coach Erik Pickett said. "Tons of good tennis and great to see so many surrounding schools come together for this event."
Texas High's team of Orgeron and Shiman won the girls doubles event.
Pleasant Grove will be back in action on Friday when its varsity program hosts 14 teams.
