HALLSVILLE, Texas -- Despite not being at full strength, Pleasant Grove's junior varsity tennis program came away with three medals at the Hallsville tournament on Tuesday.
Jonah Brown gave the Hawks a second place finish in the boys singles event and teammates Tanner Flores and William Thompson came in third in the boys doubles.
"Our JV tennis Hawks faced tough competition in Hallsville," Pleasant Grove tennis coach Erik Pickett said. "Down some of our players, we still ended up bringing home three medals."
The JV team will travel to Longview on April 15 for its final tune-up before district play begins.
