Two in Miller County arrested after search yields meth, marijuana, gun

TEXARKANA, Ark. -- Two people have been arrested on felony charges after the Miller County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on a residence on Creekside Drive and found methamphetamine, marijuana and synthetic marijuana.

Christopher Nard and Crystal Rodriquez, both of Texarkana, Arkansas, were arrested and transported to Miller County Detention Center after the warrant was served at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Miller County Sheriff's Office.

Nard was booked on four felony charges including possession of firearms by a certain person, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, trafficking methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Rodriquez was booked on the same charges along with a petition for revocation warrant out of Miller County Circuit Court.

The search warrant was based on information gathered from intelligence by MCSO narcotics detectives.

During the search, about 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine were recovered from the home, along with marijuana, synthetic marijuana and a loaded firearm.
