TEXARKANA, Ark. -- A local organization is preparing for Easter weekend by hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza.
We Are Washington encourages the public to bring their families to celebrate Easter from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30, at 1900 Marietta St.
The event will feature pancakes and donuts, as well as a variety of Easter-themed activities for the kids. At noon, there will be a helicopter egg drop from the Easter Bunny.
"We've always organized Easter events for the kids at our center, but this year marks our first-ever egg drop from a helicopter," We Are Washington Marketing Director Jasmine Bruce said. "When pilot Tyler Hawkins proposed this idea, we immediately knew it would be a crowd-pleaser."
We Are Washington hopes to bring the community together from all walks of life for Easter festivities.
"For many, it'll be their first time seeing a helicopter up close, adding an extra element of excitement to the day," Bruce said. "We can't wait to make lasting memories."
