Texarkana College trustees to decide Frank Coleman’s continuing employment
Texarkana College trustees will decide at a special meeting Aug. 5 what they will do about President Frank Coleman’s continuing employment, officials say.
Board President Dr. C. Jack Smith said trustees will have the options then to renew or decline to renew or extend Coleman’s contract, or to defer a decision on renewing it for several months. At its regular meeting Tuesday, the Board of Trustees conducted an hourlong executive session before reopening the public meeting, only then to hire three new faculty members, then adjourn. The special meeting will be 6 p.m. Aug. 5. In a related matter, Smith said the Federal Bureau of Investigation has determined it lacks jurisdiction to investigate alleged forgery involving the Optional Retirement Program and has referred the matter to the Texas Rangers. See Wednesday’s Texarkana Gazette for more on the board meeting. Featured Texarkana Business Directory Articles Featured Texarkana Business Directory Coupons
