LifeNet and emergency crews rescue woman from dry creek bed
Patricia Crabtree, 57, was rescued late Friday morning near the Sulphur River Bridge and U.S. Highway 71 after a horse back riding accident, a Miller County deputy said.
Crabtree was riding on a horse with a friend when the horse got spooked, knocked her off and fell on her, said Miller County Deputy Michael Bui. The rescue was difficult due to the terrain, requiring the use of ATVs and horses. Crabtree was transported by LifeNet helicopter to a Texarkana hospital. Crabtree reported having back pain and difficulty breathing before being transported to the hospital, Bui said.
