William Hudson has been arrested on a tampering with evidence charge in the death of his adopted son, Samuel, Cass County District Attorney Clint Allen said Thursday.

Hudson and his wife, Cynthia, of Queen City are also being investigated for allegedly injuring their other five adopted children, Allen said during a news conference.

William Hudson’s bond has been set at $250,000, Allen said.

Allen will be seeking the death penalty in Cynthia Hudson’s case.

Samuel Hudson died Dec. 3. Officials say he was restrained and beaten to death.
