CHEERS: To the Red Lick ISD Board of Trustees and Dr. Richard Hervey who on Friday, June 27, 2008, overturned their vote of May 20th on renaming the Red Lick Middle School. I feel that the new gymnasium named for Dr. Hervey, as voted unanimously by the Board, is quite an honor and something in which the community can be in agreement. This would all have been eliminated if input had been taken before the vote. I personally commend the residents for their opinions, both pro and con on this issue.
