Last week, I donned a suit of body armor with a protective helmet and traveled in a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle through the streets of Baghdad. While there, I met with a contingency from Texarkana’s Red River Army Depot military installation where they are maintaining this great piece of equipment that protects our military from the explosive devices being used by our enemy. These Texans overwhelmed me with their demonstrated pride and purpose in carrying out their mission.
