JEERS: To the union response praising the Employee Free Choice Act dated April 1, 2009. Rather than refute those charges with rhetoric, the following example is offered: Salaries of employees of car manufacturers (non-union) in America average about $44 per hour. Salaries of the American auto union employee average about $72 per hour. The difference is, of course, union dues, benefits, etc. Everyone purchasing a union-made product pays that unnecessary added cost and it benefits no one but that union member.
